So in my previous post, I shared a few links to start of some training to better understand Kubernetes. One of the links was to the Kubernetes Academy provided by VMware. There was a lot of entry level / beginners training to get you familiar with Kubernetes.  So VMware is now offering the advanced stack of training, done by instructors and subject matter experts. This is really awesome as we get to widen our knowledge and understand the platform as it will be part of our day to day activities.

“KubeAcademy Pro connects you with industry leaders for free so you can advance your skill set regardless of where you are on your Kubernetes journey. Whether you’re a systems administrator new to Kubernetes or an operator ready to manage clusters, KubeAcademy Pro includes a breadth of courses for a wide range of roles.

KubeAcademy Pro instructors are made up of VMware Kubernetes architects, field engineers, trainers, and developer advocates who bring their experience helping customers adopt Kubernetes, as well as their own experience learning Kubernetes.”

VMware Education

As being part of the VMware Certified Instructor Community, I have a very committed to encourage individuals to attend VMware Training as this is a key part of gaining new skills and keep yourself relevant in todays ever changing IT landscape. The traditional training courses that was provide by VMware Education has always been informative.

The courses have been captivating for beginners as well as experienced individuals. VMware has acquired many organisations and thus meaning that the list of products in their stable has grown immensely, which mean VMware partners have let more to sell to the industry. Engineers will have to up-skill their selves as they will need to manage these new technologies.

With that said they way froward is get some good training and get your self familiar with these new and great products.

So VMware Education has a lot of ways to deliver training:

Classroom – Instructor-Led Training – This is my all time favourite as I get to meet the trainer in person and have a room of like-minded individuals. This allows for me to learn from others in the industry and get to network, as well as have an instructor at your finger tips to assist you.

Live Online – In this method, you will connect to a training session with an instructor and other delegates to have the course presented to you over the internet. No need to travel to the training venue, but rather jump online and continue with the training.

Self-Paced – These are pre-recorded training material that you watch at your own pace and get to cover the content and labs.

I guess that there are different ways to approach the training and there are several ways to consume the training. As always the benefit is that which ever way to get the training done, you are improving yourself as an individual.
