VMware Education

As being part of the VMware Certified Instructor Community, I have a very committed to encourage individuals to attend VMware Training as this is a key part of gaining new skills and keep yourself relevant in todays ever changing IT landscape. The traditional training courses that was provide by VMware Education has always been informative.

The courses have been captivating for beginners as well as experienced individuals. VMware has acquired many organisations and thus meaning that the list of products in their stable has grown immensely, which mean VMware partners have let more to sell to the industry. Engineers will have to up-skill their selves as they will need to manage these new technologies.

With that said they way froward is get some good training and get your self familiar with these new and great products.

So VMware Education has a lot of ways to deliver training:

Classroom – Instructor-Led Training – This is my all time favourite as I get to meet the trainer in person and have a room of like-minded individuals. This allows for me to learn from others in the industry and get to network, as well as have an instructor at your finger tips to assist you.

Live Online – In this method, you will connect to a training session with an instructor and other delegates to have the course presented to you over the internet. No need to travel to the training venue, but rather jump online and continue with the training.

Self-Paced – These are pre-recorded training material that you watch at your own pace and get to cover the content and labs.

I guess that there are different ways to approach the training and there are several ways to consume the training. As always the benefit is that which ever way to get the training done, you are improving yourself as an individual.

Here’s to another 20 years VMware…Celebrations @ VMworld 2018

I know that this post is rather late…but I’m sure you have all the juicy information of what went down at both VMworld in the US & Europe. I’m just posting a high-level overview of my experiences and takeaways from the event.

As usual the VMworld event was held in Barcelona for the Europe conference. To be honest I have mixed feeling about the place. The good, most attendees are familiar with the city so logistics and navigating around the city is great, on the other hand change is good. Having a new venue for VMworld will give a breath of fresh air and new scenery for those traveling to the conference. That’s just my opinion.

So, let’s get into the key topics at VMworld 2018!

  • Heptio
  • vSphere Platinum
  • App Defense

I extremely love the solutions exchange as you get to meet some amazing vendors with amazing technologies. You get time to mingle and understand their technologies and how it may benefit you in your organization.

Here is the link to the list of vendors:

The social scene was great. Great networking opportunities, the best for me was attending the vExpert Party. Got to meet the program team and network with fellow VMware enthusiast.

Till VMworld 2018!!!

It’s that time of year again for….VMworld!

VMworld is one of the largest Virtualization & Datacentre conference that is held in USA and Europe by VMware. It is a fantastic opportunity to be part of great and new announcements made at the conference showcasing the future for VMware. Many vendors are sponsors and will be at the Solution Exchange centre showcasing their latest and greatest technology as being part of VMware’s Ecosystem.

Whilst this is a wonderful opportunity to attend as many sessions as you can, it’s important to choose wisely. Getting into sessions where are discussions and speaking to the experts are the best opposed to just attending a PowerPoint presentation. Try out the hands-on labs and visit the Solution Exchange centre, chat to the vendors and find out what’s new within their portfolio. Best part is the networking and growing your professional network with likeminded people and enjoy all the parties hosted by vendors and especially the VMworld Party.

The conference will fly by fast, so take a step back and enjoy the atmosphere and being part of such a wonderful event and enjoy every moment.
